The Booking Process

STEP 01

What are you interested in?

Review my current offers and send me a message. You should hear from me within 24-48 hours if not sooner!

STEP 02

Let's chat!

We will connect via phone or video call to discuss your session and get to know one another. I will share your contract at this time.

Wedding clients will have one additional planning call to discuss timeline of events with the option to meet in person if local.

STEP 03

Time for your session

We will connect via email one week before your session to finalize details, confirm meeting point, and discuss any additional needs. On the day of your session, I will arrive early to plan our time together- just bring yourself!

STEP 04

Receiving your photos

The fun part! All clients will receive a fully downloadable online gallery from their session. You will also have the option to purchase wall art or prints from my online store directly through your gallery link. See FAQ for more information about timeframes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you travel for photoshoots?

I love to travel! Bring me to your favorite town, your favorite hiking trail, or your Grandma's house. My packages include travel within two hours of my home and I am always happy to discuss further locations. Choosing a destination wedding or elopement? Ask me about my bucket list locations for secret pricing!

What should we wear for our session?

I want you to be comfortable! As many of my sessions take place outside, I advise clients to choose weather-appropriate clothing and consider layers when possible, especially for kids. Season and location also play a big role in what colors feel more natural, but it's really up to you! Feel free to share a mood board with me once we start discussing your session.

How long does it take to get our photos?

Portrait clients can expect their gallery within three weeks, while wedding and elopement clients can expect their gallery within six weeks. I strive to deliver earlier than these timelines whenever possible.

Mini session clients will receive their gallery within one week.

Do you offer albums or prints?

I currently offer prints and wall art through my online store. This can be purchased directly through your online gallery. I will be offering wedding albums as an add-on very soon!

Can I bring my pet?

Absolutely! With the exception of mini shoots (unless it is pet-only) I would absolutely love to meet and photograph your furry family members. I also offer Rainbow Bridge photography in-home for senior pets. Please message me for more information about this specialized service.

Family with newborn smiles for a portrait in their home.

Love for Yellow Umbrella:

"Our experiences with our photo shoots were incredible! Michelle was communicative, kind, and, most importantly, loving to our babies. Scheduling was easy, and Michelle was willing to squeeze us into her schedule when it was most convenient for us — a tough feat when working with a pregnancy/newborn timeframe! Our photos came out stunning. Michelle encouraged us to be comfortable in both our clothing and environment. She made sure the love in our family shone in every picture. We can’t wait for our next photo shoot with Yellow Umbrella Imagery!"
